The Mystical Gypsy calendar is the idea of Jennifer Wilkening and Erica Barton-Holiday. This lovely calendar showcases the color, beauty, and finesse of the Gypsy breed.  Full color 8 1/2″ x 11″

We had a photoshoot of babies yesterday. They were so adorable. When we seperated the babies to do the photoshoot, they were very flashy and just pranced around…It was BEAUTIFUL!

Gypsy Vanners are one of the most beautiful breeds that I have seen! When it comes to photographing one of these Majestic creatures, you have a lot to look at in the photos. When photographing a horse, you need to not only have a beautiful horse to look at, but it is your job to make the horse look good too. One can take a horse that is perfect in all points of confirmation, and ruine his chances of registration or even sale if you take a photograph that is unpleasing to the horses confirmation. A point to remember: Never photograph in front of the horse (unless requested by someone) the head will look oversized to the body, which is very unpleasing to the horse. This lovely photo crossed my desk today and I thought I would share it with you.  The gypsy horses in the photo are Charm and Pete from Gypsy MVP.  Both of which are offered for sale by the way!

This is Cameo, a stunning two year old Gypsy Horse.  She has the traditional black and white color with beautiful and unique markings.  Cameo is going to be a taller mare and has good movement.

She also has impressive bloodlines to go with her looks. Her sire is Gypsy King, the famous Gypsy stallion who is known the world over as a king of the breed; he is the first Breyer horse of the Vanners!  Cameo’s dam is Shampoo Girl, one of the first Gypsy Vanner horses to come to the US in the 1990s.  Shampoo Girl has bred many of the finest Gypsy horses in the country.  You can’t get better bloodlines than that!

He is a king indeed, King of the Gypsy Horses. I love this horse. He embodies everything that a stallion has to offer.  He is listed for sale by Gypsy MVP.

King Richard aka ” Ricky”   is a Gypsy Vanner dressage star in the making.

He was sired by Nobby out of I Love Lucy by Sid’s Good Stallion and the Rose Mare. Foaled in 2006 he now stands 13 3H and is  homozygous for black and  Tobiano.

Beautiful pony face with tiny ears to match. One beautiful dark Caribbean blue eye. Gorgeous set on  neck with a short compact body.  Ricky is loaded with hair and feather.

He has been started professionally in dressage training and shows allot of talent.  He is very uncomplicated to ride and soft in the bridle. He loves to work for his rider. He is schooling first level movements now and is a solid training level horse. He is ready to take into the  dressage show ring.

As a two year old he was shown in hand at the Oregon State Fair where he won his class and wowed the crowd I am told. He took reserve champion against the mature stallions and was a crowd favorite.

Ricky is handled daily and he loves the attention from his humans.  He can be turned out next to other horses and be by himself.  He does not scream or have any bad habits. He is an easy keeper with a wonderful personality.

This is one truly unique Gypsy Horse. He is a spotted stallion named Ghost Rider.  The good news is that he is for sale to a very lucky Gypsy lover!
